Getting Involved

When you become involved in the Capital Ownership Group you will be able to:

  • Participate with colleagues from around the world in working group meeting rooms through the virtual conference center to identify and analyze policies and develop strategic plans to broaden the ownership of productive assets through employee ownership;
  • Contribute and download publications from an electronic library;
  • Join other discussion groups organized around commonalities such as language, region, profession and interest;
  • Exchange information on your own current projects with distant colleagues.

Who is facilitating these working group discussions?

The virtual conference center with working group meeting rooms will be maintained by the COG Chair, Deborah Olson, and other project staff, John Logue and Steve Clem of the Ohio Employee Ownership Center at Kent State University. Participants are welcome to organize working groups around a variety of topics. Project staff will assist an initial five policy discussion groups by writing summaries of each discussion's outcome. The Executive Committee will review the summaries and policy proposals which seem most likely to achieve COG's mission and will place them on COG's implementation agenda.

So how can I participate?

All you need to participate is access to the internet. You may contribute prepared ideas in written form for reading at our web site and you can participate in live-time discussions with other work group participants from your computer anywhere in the world. You can also send papers and articles in electronic form and download those of others, which will be available in the library of the virtual conference center. Begin by registering on this web site.
