The objectives of the ESOP India Group are to conceptualize, develop, study and analyze strategies for promoting employee ownership as a tool for achieving sustainable economic growth and a just and equitable distribution of economic wealth. The focus areas of the Group, considering the issues critical and unique to India's prevailing economic and business environment, would be the following:

a. Role and means of Employee Ownership in privatization of the government owned public sector.

b. Strategies for creating a fiscally favorable economic legislation to promote broadened employee ownership.

c. Generally discuss ways and means to promote employee ownership for publicly quoted, closely held and other Companies.
