Re: Worker cooperative in association with a non-profit

I remember hearing several years ago about daycare centers that
used this model. The daycare center was a 501(c)3 and could apply
for grants and donations for equipment, building, etc.

The day care providers established a for profit worker-owned coop which
contracted to provide the labor.

I believe the ICA Group in Boston provided the technical assistance,
but I'm not sure.

You might contact Jim Megson of the ICA Group at jmegson@ica-group.org
