I have just joined your group and would like to say
a few words as a means of introducing myself.
I have spent some 8 years as Employee Director of
Chesterfield Transport a Bus Company in Central England. As such I was involved
in the Privatisation Process from Public Ownership, through 5 years of 100%
Employee Ownership to the present position of being owned By Stagecoach
(one of the large UK Transport groups who also have interests in Europe and
the USA) they have a 7% ESOP stake.
I am currently an employee trustee of the
Stagecoach ESOP Board, an unpaid Director of Job Ownership Limited, EFES Board
member and a Founder member of CEOP an organisation for employee owners run by
employee owners.
I will hope to bring to your group a worker's,
practitioner's and a UK perspective
