Dear Marc,
What does the European Commission really want? Is
there a real will to support employee ownership and participation, or what they
call "financial participation"?
You said that the Commission launched a "wide"
consultation. Consultation or funeral? I wonder it.
1. Launching a "wide" consultation on the 1th of
August, when everyone is on holiday? Looks a joke.
2. Reactions are to be sent before October 30. Why
such a short time? What could prevent from launching this document 6 months or
even a year before?
3. Why such a "light" document? Why this timidity?
Where is the consistency? The European Parliament had asked in 1998 "an
adequately financed programme"; is their present objective to answer this
request?
4. And then, this document of consultation, what is
it? It is not even a document of the Commission, it is a "Commission staff
working paper". Where did you see something like that??
No, definitely, I do not understand what is the
real will of the European Commission.
Marc, I thank you for your efforts to feed this
debate, but I have the impression that nothing is made to help you.
